We're proud to confirm today that the line-up for ProgPower
Europe 2006 is now complete. We have negotiated with several
bands, not all the bands were available for this year, so
we have decided to go for the best options possible. This
means that we will have 2 headliners for Saturday 30 September,
both the Dutch amazing newcomers TEXTURES, as well as Danish
MERCENARY will play for 1 hour and 15 minutes. RIVERSIDE
will end this year's edition of the festival witha 2 hour
show. Besides TEXTURES, the following bands complete the
line-up: DREAMSCAPE, EPHEL DUATH and VOYAGER.
This means the following final line-up for ProgPower Europe
2006:

To keep ProgPower Europe unique, we are always looking for
some talented bands that hardly anyone knows. From over
200 promos we receive every year there is always some surprise,
this year we did receive a promo from the Russian band NOVA
ART. After listening to the promo we were al convinced,
NOVA ART would be a very good band for this year's edition
of ProgPower Europe. It is the first time that we have booked
a band from Russia, but we are sure that no one will regret
our choice. NOVA ART could become one of the biggest surprises
of this year, they are definitely Russia's best unknown
progressive metal band. Be sure to see them performing,
here some comments from a magazine that has reviewed the
debut CD "The Art Of Nova":
"The band managed to create very beautiful musical
pane where fragility and transparency of art-rock are very
successfully combined with intelligence and intellectuality
of progressive-rock, with precisely dosed out and structured
harshness of progressive-metal and even slightly "thrashing"
heaviness. It is essential to mention adequately good quality
of recording and sound. The vocalist sings English lyrics
well as if English is almost native for him."

FRIDAY 10 MARCH 2006
Swedish band SCAR SYMMETRY are confirmed now for Saturday
30 September. This band surprised the metal scene last year
with thier debut album "Symmetric in Design".
Fantastic reviews all over the world brought SCAR SYMMETRY
the intrest of NUCLEAR BLAST Records as these guys really
showed their talent for writing extremely catchy metal songs.
In April the new album will see daylight, followed by a
tour with bands such as Hypocrisy, Soilwork and Amorphis.
With this band the line-up for this year looks already very
diverse and strong, and we have a few more interesting bands
to come, believe us!!

At the moment we are overloaded with emails from bands that
want to play the festival. Unfortunately we have closed
the deadline to send in your promo package to gain a slot
for this year's edition of the festival in Europe. Right
now we are in touch with some bands to complete the line-up,
so if we are interested booking you for this year, we will
get in touch with you ourselves. Please do not ask us if
you can play the festival this year, we hope you do understand
our request.

We are proud to announce the upcoming band COMMUNIC as co-headliner
for Sunday 1 October. The band surprised many people with
their debut album "Conspiracy In Mind" and got
an overwhelming response from the international press. The
new album will be out this summer and we are sure the reactions
will even be better.

WEDNESDAY 1 MARCH 2006
After some listening sessions we have booked the first bands
for this year's edition of ProgPower Europe. Within a couple
of days we hope to confirm already a few bands more, it
looks like the line-up will be complete pretty early this
year. If we are able to book the bands we have on our list
now there is only one band playing this year that already
played ProgPower before, Riverside. Again we have tried
to offer you a very diverse line-up, allthough the line-up
for this year might be a bit heavier than some other years.
But we are also depending on what bands are available.
Anyway, for the pre-party we have booked the Belgian band
ZERO GRAVITY. It is the first time we have a Belgian band
at ProgPower, so we really look forward to their performance
during the pre-party. For the first day we booked ANOTHER
MESSIAH (The Netherlands), CHAOSWAVE (Italy) and MERCENARY
from Denmark. The first 2 bands are 2 upcoming bands that
you will hear more from in the near future, MERCENARY doesn't
need any further introduction we think. A headliner for
this day will be booked pretty soon.
For the second day we booked the first Bulgarian band playing
at ProgPower, PANTOMMIND. We know that many people asked
for this band so we hope you are satisfied with our choice.
The same counts for the German band DARK SUNS, we got many
requests to book this band from Leipzig, after listening
to their latest album we were immediately convinced and
booked the band to play ProgPower Europe 2006. Headliner
for the whole event will be the Polish band RIVERSIDE. We
don't think we need to say more, this band is the new prog-sensation
at the moment and actually we are proud that we kind of
discovered them 2 years ago, when they surprised everyone!
So they will be back for a show of 2 hours, you better not
miss this opportunity!
